Who Are FinderMonkey?

Why we do what we do…

FinderMonkey exist to help you find the missing piece of your jigsaw; to provide answers to the questions that you’ve always had and to support you fully every step of the way…

That sentence took ages to come up with. It’s easy for a company to tell you what it does but it’s harder to tell you why it does it. We’re not like other companies, certainly we’re not like any other trace companies. We genuinely care about the people we work for and the people we locate on their behalf but as soon as you say “we’re the best” or even worse “you can trust us” it sounds hollow and insincere. The trouble is, how do tell people why you do what you do without sounding like your bragging? If you’re just stumbled upon the FinderMonkey website why should you trust us or use our service? You don’t know who we are or what we stand for, more importantly what we stand against so I thought I’d try and explain in a way that might help you understand if you’re on the right website or not.

My name is David Oates I’m the Head Researcher at FinderMonkey and the author of Long Lost Family Tracing. I am also featured on both BBC1’s TV series Family Finders and TLCs Separated at Birth.

Who Are FinderMonkey & Why You Should Care FinderMonkey

This is me recording a new TV programme due to air in June

Let me ask you a question. Are you serious about finding the person that you’ve either lost touch with or never met? Do you NEED, really need to get in touch with them? Are you prepared to pay to use the best service that’s available for finding old friends and family members in the UK? If the answer to those questions is yes then FinderMonkey might be the right place for you.

We specialise in finding old friends and lost relatives and we are the best in the UK at finding them butin truth that’s the easy part. It’s contacting them in a way that enhances your chances of a future with them, its supporting you through the process because we understand that it’s a big deal for you. There is lots to consider, is it the right time for you and your existing family? Is it the right time for the person you are looking for? It’s okay though, we’re here to support you through it all. We also support the person we find through it all too. We find this works wonderfully well and keeps everyone happy.

Our search costs are in the hundreds of pounds which for some people is too much but when you consider that case could be worked by as many as 5 members of the FinderMonkey team I think you’ll soon see its value for money. Let’s look at those people now and how they might be involved in your case.

Firstly you’ll have a trace consultation with Mel…

“Because I Love everything about FinderMonkey, the work we do, the team I work with, the emotions we experience, how we help people and to make a difference”

Mel is our senior trace consultant. She is responsible for speaking to you before you decide to go ahead, she’s an advisor and will walk you through the service we offer and see if it’s right for you. She’s also review the information you have about the person you are looking for. It’s fair to say Mel likes talking but she is a kind, warm considerate person who you’ll immediately feel relaxed with. Your consultation call with Mel is complimentary and there is no obligation to go ahead after it. To arrange your call simply contact us on 0113 2825900 and we’ll arrange it for you.

Once your case is confirmed you might speak with Sue…

“Job satisfaction in a nutshell. I go home feeling like my day’s work had some kind of meaning. I know it’s not all happy endings but I like to think that even the cases with the sad outcomes give the client closure if nothing else. Also I find it really interesting and a constant learning curve so it’s fresh and new every day I love my job”

Sue is a senior figure in the trace room. She is an experienced researcher and excellent at solving difficult cases where we only have snippets of information. Each case is allocated to a researcher and if Sue is yours she’s keep you in the loop every step of the way. Sue is excellent at keeping her clients happy with regular updates on your search and will talk openly and honestly about how the search is going and what the next steps are.

If Sue needs any help with your search it will be scaled to me…

“I came to work here because I was convinced great things could be achieved. It’s now six years later and I feel we are genuinely the leading people tracing company in the UK. I continue to work here because it feels like we are moving towards even better things and I get an amazing buzz when I help people who have had questions about someone for most of their lives, we can answer those questions and put people’s minds to rest”

If your case is scaled then it might end up on my desk, I work with all our researchers to make sure we leave no stone unturned on each and every case that comes into the trace room. If you speak to me let me know if you enjoyed this article.

Once your case is complete you might have a chat with Phillippa…

“Because I want to make a difference and I want to be part of an up and coming organisation that can and will go the distance. I work here because we have a great team and I want to be part of this super work that is being done. Doing something that is so emotional for people can be a challenge but it’s our job to look after people and make them feel amazing.”

Phillippa is the Operations Manager at FinderMonkey, she makes sure we’re operating legally and effectively. As part of her job she usually speaks to people we have worked for to gather feedback on the process from our customers point of view, if any issues are raised procedures are improved and processes changed.

Once our work is complete you may be contacted by James. James finds people who would be willing to share their story in newspapers and via television shows, this is something that is individual to each person we work for and you would never be pressured into appearing in a newspaper or on TV if the matter is private to you.

“I work at FinderMonkey because I love it. I love my colleagues and I love making such a huge difference to people lives. Imagine how it must feel to never meet your father and then all of a sudden you are in touch with him, it’s a scary thought but I believe in the team here and I see first-hand the love and dedication they have for doing this type of work. More than anything I feel proud.”

Well I hope that’s helped you understand more about FinderMonkey and why we do what we do. If you would like to arrange a consultation with Mel. Just call us now on 0113 2825900 and we’ll arrange that for you.
