The FinderMonkey Weekly - Week 6 FinderMonkey

Welcome to the FinderMonkey Weekly. Our weekly deep dive into the world of people tracing.

This weeks video is really important if you are thinking of using our services. David Oates our Head Researcher talks about, when the person you are looking for has passed away. Now this does happen but most clients still feel they have got certain answers and some kind of closure.

Now of course not everyone we look for has passed away and you might be surprised to hear that we have found people living and able to have contact when they are over 100 years old.

Sadly we’ve also had searches were contact was lost many years ago and the person we are looking for passed away shortly after.

The first point Dave talks about is how we would support you if this happened during your search. He also talks about how we would work to get you answers about when the person died, how and also try and build up the story of their life. We can also attempt to contact other people who knew them to find out even more. At the point that we find out someone has passed away we would tell our client quickly and professionally.

Dave and many senior members of our team are trained in bereavement as well as counselling to ensure we can support the client to come to terms with what has happened. We’ll then work with the client on what we can do next. Sometimes that is signposting to other organisations that can offer ongoing support if it is required but usually it is a case of looking back at the search and getting the client the information that they are looking for.

We also provide additional leaflets about this and supply them to our clients if needed. We like to provide the best possible service to each client and tailor the service as best we can to ensure at the end of the process the client feels like they have answers and closure.

Its important if you are thinking of using our services that you do consider the possibility of the person having passed away.

As a professional organisation I don’t think it would be right to not discuss this with you as a possible outcome of any search. The key thing is that at least you would know and often knowing is better than the anxiety that comes with not knowing.

The video is worth watching.

In other news this week we have been looking at developing website further and improving the look and feel of the site. The first page to be improved should be our meet the team page. We feel it needs to be more professional and really show the professional nature of our amazing team. That should be going up in the next week or so, once it is we’ll be showing it off in next weeks newsletter so watch this space.

We have some other exciting stories from the world of people tracing that can be found on this page.

Finally, we are adding some brand new leaflets to the FinderMonkey website in the coming weeks. These leaflets talk about various aspects of our work and are there to support and guide clients and also people like you who are think of using our services.

In the meantime there are some useful articles here https://findermonkey.co.uk/learning-centre/

Until next week….
