Welcome to another FinderMonkey weekly. Our weekly deep dive into the world of people tracing.
And what a week we are having!
Last week we received 32 new instructions from people just like you. People looking for someone missing from their life.
We feel honoured and privileged to be trusted by so many to do something so special.
Some of us here in the office have personal experience of separation so we know how you feel.
One member of our team didn’t meet his father until he was almost 40 years old. We’ll call him Simon. We made sure Simon explained all his emotions and feelings to everyone within our team.
It was a long process for him to meet his father. I’m pleased to say it is going well but it has brought home the power of what we do.
It was a long process for Simon. The initial contact was done with his eldest sister, again they had never met.
His oldest sister was in touch with her father. However, Simon was very content to only have contact with his sister and get to know her. Over years not months they formed a special relationship.
When his sister decided to get married it was important for Simon to meet his dad before the big day.
The day rightly didn’t need to be overshadowed by Simons and his dads first meeting. By this time, there was real desire from both parties to finally meet.
The meeting went amazingly well, and the wedding was beautiful and special for Simon and his birth family.
You can imagine how we all felt about this and the photos and tears. Like I say, it really brought home the power of our work and the unique service we provide.
This weeks David our Head Researcher is back to talk about some recent searches we have been asked to do.
Our Intermediary work
When people come to us to find someone, we need to get them thinking. We’ve done articles and videos about the possible outcome of a search. We’ve stressed the importance of thinking about outcomes many times.
Once we have found the person you are looking for, we contact them.
We do this to make sure they are happy to receive contact. We guide them and support them as needed.
We find it gives you the best chance of a positive outcome.
With that in mind though, we always felt a bit strange to send the letters out with the FinderMonkey logo on them. Would the people we were writing to understand and appreciate the level of care in our work?
It felt like a good area to focus on our rebrand.
So, this week we have launched Relative Connections Intermediary service. Any correspondence now goes to the person you are looking for via a Relative Connections letter.
Same process. Same care. Fresh name.
We will slowly move over to the new brand entirely once we’ve figured that out.
When you’re ready to search. We’re ready to find.
