This week our video comes from Dr Joanna North and David Oates both highly experienced members of our team. If you’re looking for your birth parents, then this video shows how we can use DNA to locate them. If you’re looking for someone else, like an old friend for example it is still packed with value.

Welcome to the FinderMonkey Weekly. Our weekly deep dive into the world of people tracing.

This week our video comes from Dr Joanna North and David Oates both highly experienced members of our team. If you’re looking for your birth parents, then this video shows how we can use DNA to locate them. If you’re looking for someone else, like an old friend for example it is still packed with value.

The video focuses on some DNA searches that we have recently concluded.

Here at FinderMonkey we have specific DNA searches that you can choose but we are also seeing more and more examples of where we can use your DNA results to push forward all our searches.

Often fathers are not detailed on adoption files or birth certificates so many people do not know the name of their father. This makes traditional tracing methods less effective. With this in mind in 2018, David Oates and John Arko set out to discover how we could use DNA to best help our clients.

DNA allows us to solve searches where we don’t even know the name of the people we are looking for, we use your DNA to look for relatives on your maternal or paternal side. Once we have a match for relatives on that side, even distant ones, we can perform hours of research to be able to work out who your birth parents are on your family tree.

It’s really interesting work but more importantly for you it is getting some great results.

Enjoy the video.

Also, this week we have been concluding other types of searches and we have had some fantastic reviews from the people who have now completed their journey with us. These reviews are the best insight into how we support and help you to get the answers you are looking for. So please take the time to read them. At the time of writing, we’ve already had eleven 5* reviews, all of which we are really proud of.

Finally, we have our other news section and some of the stories from around the world about people tracing. This week we have a BBC article regarding Irish Adoptions and the rights of adoptees to gain access to birth certificates and a story from America about 7 siblings all reconnected via DNA.

When you are ready for a chat, we’d love to speak to you and tell you more about our award-winning services to locate and contact the relatives and friends you have lost touch with.
